Interested in judicial independence and the shrinking space for civil society in Europe? Very honoured to have been invited to give a talk at the 2021 SCOPE conference on political research: Science of Politics, which is organized by the University of Bucharest and the University of Lisbon (20-24/09/2021). I will present right after the opening speech on 20 September 2021, where I will look at how a growing number of governments abuse their powers in Europe and use the judiciary to criminalize activists for their human rights work.
