Looking forward to the Law and Society's 2021 annual meeting in Chicago tomorrow, where I will present on judges and the shrinking space for civil society in Europe. Presenting at the exciting panel on "Lawyers and State Transformations" (discussant: Richard Abel, UCLA), I will look at how the increasing politicization of judges affects the profession of lawyer and the role of international organizations to address judicial misconduct more effectively.
