Thrilled to see that, after joining the social science research network SSRN only a few weeks ago, my paper on 'Judicial and Prosecutorial Independence in Europe' is listed in the SSRN Top Ten Download List for the category 'Public International Law: Courts & Adjudication'.
The paper explores how a fast-growing number of politicised judges and prosecutors impacts the non-compliance with judgments of one of Europe's key courts, the European Court of Human Rights. Particularly, it looks at how Eastern European and Central Asian countries respect the right to a fair trial.
You can find the paper here.
Happy reading!
