What an exciting project! It was such a pleasure to be at Università Ca' Foscari Venezia from 13-15 February 2025. Over three incredibly insightful days, we discussed access to justice and the significant role cultural experts can play in the courtroom for a more inclusive justice system.

A huge thank you to Livia Holden for organizing this fantastic event and Valentina Barnabei, Dina Hadad and Dr. Noora Arajärvi for putting together such a great programme. I learnt a lot!

This event was part of the "K-Peritia" project for which I, as a secondary proposer, applied successfully for a competitive grant by the European Cooperation in Science and Technology (COST), together with Livia Holden. This 4-year project develops capacity building programmes for early career professionals and scholars to sensitize them for the relevance of cultural expertise to law. The project is based at the Royal Anthropological Institute of Great Britain and Ireland in London.
