Legal Aid in Europe

It was a great pleasure to give a talk on 'A milestone: Europe's first guidelines on legal aid' at the 2021 meeting of the Research Committee on Sociology of Law yesterday!

In my talk, I discussed the Guidelines on the Efficiency and Effectiveness of Legal Aid Systems in Areas of Civil and Administrative Law, which, over the last two years, I was commissioned to develop by the Council of Europe.
