Very pleased to announce that I have contributed, together with many prominent scholars and practitioners, with a chapter to the book 'Theory and Practice of the European Convention on Human Rights' by Stephanie Schiedermair, Alexander Schwarz and Dominik Steiger, which has just been published with Hart/Nomos Publishing.
In my chapter, I look at how Europe’s fast growing number of politicised judges and prosecutors impact the application of the European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR) and the execution of judgments of the European Court of Human Rights in Eastern European and Central Asian countries, particularly with regard to Article 6 of ECHR (right to a fair trial).
