Judges & civic space in Europe

I gave a talk on 'The Rule of Law in Europe: Quo Vadis? Europe’s Judges and Their Role in Protecting Civic Space' at the 7th international interdisciplinary conference of political research SCOPE: Science of Politics, which was organized by the University of Bucharest and the University of Lisbon.

This year's conference was dedicated to the vulnerable in contemporary politics. In my talk, I addressed the situation of human rights defenders in Eastern Europe and Central Asia who are increasingly subjected to politically motivated charges and convictions for their activities.
